This is Jason, In Your Street, at Kelburn Close, covering Northampton's East Hunsbury Area (NN4 0).

 

The reason I’ve chosen this location this week is I’m looking on behalf of some of my clients, Mr and Mrs Partridge, who are specifically looking for a 3 bedroom home or bungalow within East Hunsbury, following the 325k sale of their home,

 

It’s a fantastic area, so I can see why such an interest.

This location is popular due to its low crime rate, and community feel, with great travel links to the M1 being short moments away.

The most expensive property in Kelburn Close was Number 26, which sold for £335,000 recently in 2023.

In NN4 0, the average price of detached homes is 435k, 261k for semi-detached, 222k for terraced homes. Flats are 152k.

 

The rental market is particularly strong in this area due to supply and demand. Only 20% of the properties here go for rent, and because of the popularity of the area, lettings tend to go quickly. The average house price is £1,150pcm, and the apartments are £700pcm.

Considering the clear desire for the area, is surprisingly low – but this is likely due to the small pool of information available.
